Here at Wye Valley Cakery, we believe that choosing the right wedding cake that suits your tastes and individual style should be an exciting and enjoyable experience, but above all – stress free! The wedding cake is a traditional centrepiece to your special day, which is why we put time into getting to know each couple and style of their wedding, to create something that brings all their ideas together. We ensure that everything from the initial enquiry to setting up your wedding cake at your venue on the day is carried out with much care and dedication, so you don’t need to worry about a thing.

The Process

At first contact we will ensure your wedding date is available and at this stage we are happy to give you an initial quote if you have a specific size and decoration in mind. Following this we can secure your wedding date for a deposit of £50.00 – which is then deducted from the final cost. Please note it is never too early to secure dates, as we take bookings for 1-2 years in advance.

We will then arrange a wedding cake consultation at around 6 months prior to your wedding date where you can enjoy some of our cake samples, chosen by you, whilst discussing the design in full detail. Following this we will provide you with a cake sketch to ensure you are happy with the final design and a detailed break down of the final cost. The balance is then due 4 weeks prior to the wedding date.

If you would like to sample cakes before securing your date, we are happy to create custom sample boxes for £20.00 which will then be deducted from the final cost.

The final costs are done on an individual bases to factor in the various options, such as size, icing preference, decorations. Below is a starting point for pricing our wedding cakes:

-          Lightly iced wedding cake with minimal decoration

​

·         2 Tier - £350+

·         3 Tier - £450+

·         4 Tier - £550+

·         5 Tier - £600+

The final cost will reflect the amount of detail and intricate work, that you would like to be achieved on your wedding cake.

 

Handcrafted sugar flowers are at an additional cost and depend on the type/size

Cupcake towers cost around £3-£4 per Cupcake.
